What is PPF?
PPF is a clear urethane film which when applied to your car or bike surface reduces stone chip damage. It has been the invisible force successfully protecting the bodywork for some of the most expensive cars on the planet.
It is used in Formula 1, FIA GT, NASCAR and the lemans series amongst others. PPF has proven to work even in the most extreme motorsports.
PPF is usually used in a 610mm and 1220 mm size but has recently been introduced in a 1524mm wide for full bonnets. It is most commonly used in pre-cut form to wrap full or partial panels on your car. The most common being the front third of a bonnet and front bar areas.
PPF not only protects from stone chips but minor abrasions and other environmental elements.
At D and S Tint all our patterns are cut using computer plotting machines which are also used in out tinting and signs division. This avoids any risk associated with hand cutting on your care and ensures the patterns are cut with complete accuracy. These patterns are developed to cover areas such as bonnets, bumpers, head lights, grilles, mirrors and more.
In the event of damage PPF can easily be removed from factory paintwork without any damage and minimal to no residue left behind…
